Penguin Parade

Penguin Slide

The penguin looks happier than I did, I can tell you.

Despite the fact that it hasn’t really rained in the last few days, you can always rely on a BMF instructor to find the one patch of mud on an otherwise pristine field.

Last night was my second BMF session, and as it turns out, wearing a white t-shirt was a massive error. Due to a broken washing machine, I was wearing some old tracksuit bottoms. I looked like the bastard offspring of MC Hammer and Aladdin.

After an achy day yesterday, I was resigned to a second-rate performance tonight, but actually, I found that the pains went away as soon as I started warming up. After running about a bit we did some burpees (well everyone else did – I just sort of flopped around like a constipated frog) and some sit-ups.

As the half-hour mark (and the sweet, sweet water break) approached, instructor Rich had us diving headfirst into a huge muddy puddle, penguin-style. I’d like to think I looked graceful, but I think it probably looked more like a JCB falling into a quarry.

Obviously we got covered in mud, and once I got home, I realised that I even had mud in my eye sockets. Awesome.

Unfortunately, the celebrity guest bit I had planned today isn’t quite ready, which is why this is a bit rambling. But hang on, who needs celebrities when you can be one yourself (see what I did there?)…

We’re shooting some ads for the BMF iPhone app, and we’re looking for some people to star in them. If you want to take part, you’ll have to be available throughout Friday (March 5th). We’ll pay expenses, and try and get you some goodies too.

The three types of member we’re looking for are: Male (aged 20-35), Female (aged 30-40), and an American, either gender (aged 20-35).

If you fit one of these profiles, and would like to take part, you can either send a tweet to @bmfapp (including your name and a photograph), or send an email “BMF Shoot” as the subject to BMFapp@bigideascorp.co.uk

Look forward to hearing from you!
